Jane said that my joys are simple.

Come to think of it, it’s true.

I don’t need to own the latest LV bags to make me happy. I don’t fancy gadgets. Ok, I do like shopping for clothes, but I tend to shop for clothes only when I need to.

So what makes me happy (besides human goodness)?

Seeing a waterfall, taking a walk in Bukit Timah Nature Reserve or MacRitchie Reservoir, rollerblading at East Coast Park, jogging at night, pruning my plants, going for a swim. Feels like the major elements are nature and some physical activity.

Food wise, I don’t fancy dining at restaurants, though I like TCC very much. I think I can survive on hawker food. Cheap and good.

All these become much clearer since some time back.. I enjoyed Stong (trekking in the rain, sleeping in a tent, showering near a waterfall, no electricity) and Tioman (the beach, the resort with only v basic facilities, the snorkelling) more than Bangkok (flew there on Business Class, stayed in Holiday Inn, did nothing but eat and shop).

And now, my friends and I are planning for Taiwan, I google and look for nothing but scenic countryside/old town places.

I’ll be a very happy girl if I can go to Yehliu, Wulai, Danshui and Taroko Gorge!

I guess I’ll enjoy Sikkim and Darjeeling very much also then!

Taiwan is one of my favourite places amongst those i’ve travelled to, and yes you’ll love taroko gorge. It was the most peaceful place in the whole of taiwan 🙂
Try Hawai’i one day, it’s so laid back and ulu, it’s like malaysia, except with hunky dudes!
